Dear Members and Friends of St. Joseph Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church,

Happy Easter! I greet you this way as a reminder that we are called to celebrate the joy of the Resurrection throughout the Fifty Day Season of Easter. We will continue our focus on the gifts the resurrection of Jesus brings at Easter until Pentecost Sunday, May 28, 2023.

By accepting God’s blessings with gratitude, we are called to act as brothers and sisters in the Lord. As disciples of Christ, we are called to be faithful stewards of all that is entrusted to us. As members of the Body of Christ, we are to be reliable overseers of the rich variety of gifts we have received. Throughout the Easter Season and the entire year, we are called to share our gifts and live out our baptismal calling.

We have many important events during the Month of May.

  • Wednesday, May 3, the IHM Parish Council will meet at 6:30pm.
  • FIRST COMMUNION:
    • Saturday, May 6, at 4:30 Mass at St. Joseph.
    • Sunday, May 7, at 11:00 Mass at IHM.
  • CONFIRMATION:
    • Confirmation Rehearsal at IHM at 7:00pm, Tuesday, May 9.
    • Confirmation Rehearsal at St. Joseph at 7:00pm, Wednesday, May 10.
    • Bishop Bonner will preside and Confirm the Candidates at 11:00am, Saturday, May 13 at the Cathedral.
  • Sunday, May 14, MOTHER’S DAY! Also, there will be the May Crowning at IHM at 11:00 Mass.
  • Sunday, May 21, the Boy Scouts are having a Pancake Breakfast at St. Joseph.
  • Sunday, May 28 is the Feast of Pentecost!

I am impressed with how you have maintained your financial support of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and St, Joseph Church. You are continuing to be generous with your parish and other charitable institutions. The St Vincent de Paul Society is maintaining its mission to help those in need of food and other items. The Food Pantry continues its assistance to many families in need. For those of you who have not yet made a commitment to the Annual Diocesan Appeal I ask that you do so to continue the work of Catholic Charities and other important programs. Thanks to all of you!

Praying that God keeps you and your loved ones healthy and safe, I remain,

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Rev. Gregory F. Fedor
