I offer greetings to all during this season of growth and grace. Our two parishes enjoyed wonderful events in July. The Rummage Sale at IHM was very well attended and financially successful. The Golf Outing at Millcreek Golf Course is going on this coming Sunday (July 28) and I’m sure it will be a good time. Our parish worship has always been enjoyable and I’m thankful that Monsignor Polando has been able to join us and help with masses.
I have highlighted some of the important events for the month.
Saturday, August 3, Monsignor Polando will hear confessions at St. Joseph at 3:30pm.
Sunday, August 4 is the “End of Summer Bash” at St. Joseph from noon-4:00pm. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided, please bring a side dish or dessert to share. There will be inflatables for the kids to enjoy.
Monday, August 12, Lifeline Screening will be at the Msgr. Prokop Center at IHM.
The weekend of August 17-18 there will be a Priest from the Missionary Society of St. Paul at the Masses. I am confident you will receive him warmly and generously.
The Food Pantry Distribution at IHM will be Friday, August 23.
I am looking forward to a healthy recovery in August. I am excited for the grace filled opportunities that we are facing as our two parishes will merge in January 2025. As a reminder, starting September 1, Sunday mass at St. Joseph will move to 8:30am to accommodate our combined CCD Program.
