Please accept our condolences and know that the prayers of our parish community are with you at your time of loss and sorrow. We are here for you at this difficult time.
Funerals are celebrated Monday-Saturday usually in the morning or early afternoon.
To schedule a funeral for your loved one, please begin by contacting the funeral home of your choice. The funeral director will help to collect the necessary information and act as the liaison to the church to set the date and time for the services. When the date and time have been set, the priest or deacon will contact you to plan the service.
We are happy to assist and guide families through the difficult but meaningful journey of preparing the prayers and rituals of a Catholic funeral liturgy.
Families can prepare for their meeting with the priest or deacon by doing the following:
- Review the readings and prayers that will be used during the funeral
- Select readings for the funeral (Select one First Reading, one Second Reading, and one Gospel Reading.)
- Select hymns for the funeral (Select one hymn in each of the four categories under Music Options.)
- Assign family members or friends with the responsibilities of reading during the funeral (You may have a reader for the First Reading, a reader for the Second Reading, and a reader for the Petition Prayers. The priest or deacon will read the Gospel Reading.)
