Dear Members and Friends of St. Joseph Church,

Cheerful summer greetings to all of you! As many of you have busy days and evenings during this time of year, please remember to include attending Sunday Mass and daily prayer in your schedules. I realize many of you are just beginning again to live life a little more freely as the pandemic seems to be leaving. Be sure to get vaccinated so that the entirety of our everyday lives will return to more normal patterns.

In preparing to write this letter I reviewed previous letters. There was no letter last year for this month because we were in the storm of Covid 19. Also, I was recuperating from my first surgery of the year. The previous letter of 2019 had many activities for July. I look forward to July of 2022 when we will again have a healthy list of activities to enjoy.

Looking ahead to next year there are three activities that will occupy the month of July:

I mention these activities because we haven’t forgotten them and so that you will

consider being involved in planning and participating in them. This year there is the whole adjustment to returning to some semblance of normalcy. Many of our parishioners are still adjusting emotionally to the turmoil of the past year. Next year will be glorious!

There will be a change in my status at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish on July 1. I have been the canonical pastor there since 2017. From now on I will be pastor of both St. Joseph and Immaculate Heart of Mary. I anticipated this development when I accepted the assignment to St. Joseph in 2009. Initially, most parishioners at both churches will not notice much of a change but in the next few years we will be cooperating with each other in a number of areas of parish life. The Holy Spirit will continue to guide us as we move forward.

Focusing on St. Joseph Church again, the parish committees will begin meeting

regularly in the near future. I look forward to working together again.

Hoping that God continues to bless all of you with countless good things, I remain,

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Gregory F. Fedor Pastor
